Wire Cloth is acquired by Madison Filter Company.
2002 Madison
Filter Company/Southwestern Wire Cloth is acquired by MI Drilling,
a subsidiary of Smith International.
2002 (May) The
Shelby, NC division of Southwestern Wire Cloth is acquired by
a group led by Robert Norman, the founder of Southwestern Wire
Cloth. The division is renamed Engineered Filtration Products.
2002 (August)
Anderson Wire Works merges with EFP and the two companies form
United EFP.
2004 (September)
United EFP is acquired by CLARCOR and positioned within the Purolator
Advanced Filtration Group; the company is renamed Purolator EFP.
2005 (March)
Niagara Screen Products in St. Catharines Ontario is acquired
by CLARCOR and is merged with Purolator EFP from Johnson Screen/Weatherford.
2007 (February) The synthetic fibers filtration segment of Newton Tool & Manufacturing Co., is acquired by Purolator EFP further expanding the number of products provided to the synthetic fiber manufacturing industry.
